MARTIN, Ellen (Dupuis)
Ellen (Dupuis) Martin, of East Hartford, was born
July 25, 1911 in Dudley, MA, Her life here on Earth ended on Tuesday, (November
16, 2004) and she has gone to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, where
she will live in Heaven for eternity in His presence.
She was the beloved wife of the late Clarence
Lowell Martin, who passed away from this life in 1962.
She lived her life by her faith in
Christ and she reflected His love to all whose lives she touched. She lived her
life in faith, grace, caring, love and dignity and gave us an example that we
will carry with us for a lifetime and beyond.
She enjoyed her career as an elementary
school teacher for many years in South Windsor and many people will remember her
for her graciousness, loving kindness and generosity.
She enjoyed her husband, family,
friends and pupils with all her heart and lived a long, productive life that
counted. The world is a better place because she lived and her family thanks God
for the chance to know her and have her for our Mother.
As much as she will be sorely missed
here on Earth, rather than mourning our toss, her family has chosen to celebrate
her life and all that she has meant to us. Her family knows that when time is no
more, we will see our dear Mother once again. She leaves a son, Bruce Martin of
Barbourville, KY; and four daughters, Lynne Chick of Monmouth, ME, Ellen Warner
of Belfast, NY, Joan Deering of Shirley, MA. And Joyce Martin of East Hartford;
and her brother, Clifton Dupuis of Vernon; and many dear nieces, nephews,
grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sisters,
Edith Kennedy, and Gladys Bradway and by her brothers, Henry, Bernard and Ralph
Dupuis.
A service to celebrate her life will be
held privately by her family. There will be no calling hours. The Newkirk &
Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford has been entrusted with
the arrangements. In lien of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in her
honor to a charity of your choosing. Cards or acknowledgments may be sent c/o
Joyce Martin, 41 Lawrence St., East Hartford, CT. 06118. Please visit online at
